FiledOnTime vs ClickUp
ClickUp is a general project management platform. It is genuinely powerful, highly configurable, and used by plenty of accountancy practices to run their work.
The catch for statutory deadlines is that ClickUp knows nothing about Companies House. Every confirmation statement date, every accounts deadline, every director who still needs to verify their identity is something a human has to put in and keep current.
FiledOnTime reads them from the register instead.
When ClickUp is the better choice
- You are running the practice’s work, not just its deadlines: jobs, assignments, pipelines, documents and client communication in one place.
- You want to shape the tool around your own process. ClickUp is far more configurable than FiledOnTime will ever be.
- You already have it, and the team lives in it every day.
When FiledOnTime is the better choice
- Nobody has to type in a date. The register is the source, so a company that changes its accounting reference date does not quietly leave a wrong date in a task.
- ECCTA verification per director and PSC, which is not something a general task tool has any concept of.
- It cannot silently rot. A ClickUp list of filing dates is only as current as the last person who maintained it.

Pricing
ClickUp has a free tier and paid plans per user per month. For a practice already paying for it, FiledOnTime is an addition rather than a replacement.
FiledOnTime is £5 a month for three companies, £19 for twenty-five with three seats, and £99 for unlimited. Extra companies and seats can be added to a plan rather than forcing an upgrade.
Common questions
- Why not just build a ClickUp template for filing deadlines?
- Plenty of firms do, and it works until it does not. The weakness is not the template, it is that every date in it is a copy. When a company changes its accounting reference date or files early, the register moves and your template does not. FiledOnTime re-reads the register instead of trusting a copy.
